I think they have drastically changed their mix since the other reviewer's went there, because I found their Bloody to be very spicy, rich, and delicious!

I agree, strange taste to this one. It had a smoky type flavor that did not add to the bloody mary. The salad was the standard pickle, olive, lemon, and lime slice.

Can't quite put my finger on it...Maybe their mix was off on this particular day, but I thought the flavor had a heavy clamato twang to it. Wasn't bad, necessarily, but something was definitely off.

The Alchemy is part of the Madison phenomenom known as "Gastropubitis". A kitchy bar with decent decro and really amazing food. Buffalo burgers, humus, and wasabi peas fill a menu in lieu of typical bar-fare. You can't order anything like a Miller Lite here and you definitely shouldn't order the bloody mary. The drink was really watery and weak. Spicy V8 would've been better than their mix. It is pint-size and comes with a chaser upon request. I do have to say the bartenders there are always very personably. However, personality cannot make up for this tomato juice teaser.
