One of the tastiest bloody mary's I've ever had! Comes with a pickled egg which is unique by any measure. Could maybe use additional or substituted salad in the bloody such as celery or jalapeno instead of a skewer of pickled mushrooms. Unlike the previous commenters, this bloody DID NOT include a beef stick, pretzel stick, pickled cauliflower, beans or pepper. The current owner bought the bar 2 years ago so I don't believe the quality of the bloody is the same. It costs $5, which is above average for a hole in the wall bar in the middle of nowhere.

Who would expect to find a world class Bloody in the middle of the Wisconsin backcountry? Well, it IS there and worth the effort to get there. About 1900 miles one way for us. The drink is prepared expertly by Larry himself on every round. Very unique taste and I have had a lot of bloddys to compare it to. The salad is superb with uniquely marinated garnishments and a presentation that is outstanding. I could not possibly rank this drink and this bar any higher. Absolutely BEST in the world that I have discovered anyway.

Amazing Bloodies!!!! Especially if you order them SPICY! YUM! The salad is so big in them that you almost need a plate. Awesome! I am craving one right now while I type! Larry and Gail are great and their food is fabulous! It is all homemade - definitely recommend Friday Night Fish with the potato pancakes! You won't be disappointed!

I've had made a couple trips to Popple River and I think his quality has gone down. I swear he used to put beef stick in the drinks-now it's a pretzel stick. It's a long drive but it's still worth it. Try his cheeseburger (on toast) - AMAZINGLY GOOD!!!

Larry and Gail due a fantastic job. The food is great the service is second to none. If pass thru Northern WI just up Hwy 139 you have to stop, you won't be disappointed. Our family has been going there for years and it has always been a pleasure. Larry and Gail are wonderful people! The Bloody Marys are worth the trip alone. They are A+++!

These were awesome! We stopped in after a long day of skiing and they were perfect. They weren't too strong, but still had the kick. The spice was optional which I loved so I tried one of each. The size was great and the salad was unreal! I couldn't believe all the things that Larry included in there, the standards plus a pickled egg, pretzel rod, pepper, pickled cauliflower. Wow! I thought the cost was less than expected as well. You also can't beat the atmosphere of this place. Larry was great and so friendly, and he introduced us to this fantastic movie, which is not what you'd expect in a pub. I would travel the 4 hours any day!

This Bloody has it all!! You can have it spicey or regular, I suggest get the spicey! It comes in a large glass with pickled egg, beans, califlour, olives, mushrooms, pickle all for $4.00 and is the tastiest bloody I have ever had. Larry does it right!!
